"The celestial bodies are the cause of all that takes place in the sublunar world." ~ Thomas Aquinas

Most people associate astrology with the zodiac, but it's planetary motion that gives meaning to the signs. Planets are the alphabet of energy, the building blocks of our reality and the foundation of astrology.

[Sun & Moon are called planets for brevity]

Yes, he really said that!

Dr. Carl G. Jung founded Analytical Psychology and was a closet astrologer whose theory of the conscious, unconscious and collective unconscious is based on planetary frequencies. He did not publicly reveal this during his life, to avoid the academic ridicule that persists to this day

Dr. Jung called his red leatherhbound The Red Book: Liber Novus his 'most important work'. It's filled with his astrological insights and beautiful illustrations and was finally released after his death.

The Wikipedia entry for The Red Book makes no mention of astrology, essentially marginalizing it, typical of the materialist paradigm holding humanity hostage. And it's typical that astrology is ignored by most analytical psychologists, who take months & years to gain insights they could gain in an hour by analyzing a patient's birth chart. Those who do utilize astrology are rare gems worth searching for, especially if they accept insurance.

(I've shortened Jung's unconscious & collective unconscious to subconscious & unconscious)
The mind is like the ocean; beneath the surface lies the unfathomable depths. We set sail and hope for the best, gliding along the surface, few of us with a map or scuba gear and most unprepared for the storms ahead.

sun/ego; moon/emotion; mercury/intellect; venus/desire; mars/will
The conscious mind is our experience of waking reality - our thoughts, actions, desires, hopes and fears & every interaction we make. The conscious mind is our direct experience of life and the surface story of everything.

jupiter/expansive aspiration; saturn/contractive ambition
The subconscious mind records & stores everything we've ever heard, seen, felt & done. Childhood experiences are directly absorbed as truth and program our suboconscious perceptions. And traumatic memories are held energetically and may manifest in painful ways until they're brought to the surface and released. But some memories resist exposure, so astrology is a window into the past to help pinpoint the when and suggest the what, to release the energy and the pain.

uranus/deeper mind; neptune/deeper desire; pluto/deeper will
The unconscious mind is Purpose with a capital P. It Sees All and Knows All and contains the deepest depths of our highest Truth. It's the still voice within, in perfect alignment with the Great Spirit. The unconscious is unfazed by the issues of daily life/ its Purpose is Creative Growth, through which your eternal spirit guides your soul through this lifetime. Even when you ignore its whispers it works its Magic, sometimes disguised as pain, and always towards your highest/deepest Purpose.

"The soul of the newly born baby is marked for life by the pattern
of the stars at the moment it comes into the world.
~ Johannes Kepler, Harmonics Mundi

With your first breath you're imprinted with the celestial frequencies of that moment, your electromagnetic DNA. Breath [prana ~ mana ~ qi] holds your spirit in this time & space.

And all you need to know to read any BirthPrint™ are the 3 essential basics:

Imagine your mind is a melody. . .

PLANETS are the notes
ASPECTS are their arrangements
SIGNS are the instruments

Planets are the frequencies of every person, place & thing;
Aspects are the conduits that blend and modify the frequencies;
Signs are the prism of elemental archetypes that color the frequencies.

Planetary frequencies are the engine by which consciousness creates matter and everything under the Sun. The genesis of every person, place & thing reflects the planetary frequencies of that moment in time.

Aspects are conduits that blend and modify the planetary frequencies at specific degrees of distance. The best-known aspect is the 180° opposition though most know it only as the full Moon and every month hospitals & police stations anticipate its polarizing effects.

The zodiac is a prism of elemental archetypes that color the planetary frequencies with the qualities of fire, earth, air and water.

Like phonetics, committing the essentials to memory is so simple a child can do it; and it's the magic key to autonomy! The 10 Planets, 6 Aspects & 12 Signs are the 28 letters of the soul and once they're memorized you can begin to sound them out - the exciting final step!

"Every living being is an engine geared to the wheelwork of the universe.
Though seemingly affected only by its immediate surrounding, the sphere of external influence extends to infinite distance."
~ Nikola Tesla

So psychology is the science of the soul...

and big pHARMa oversees it?

A birth chart is the users manual of the soul, so forget the drugs. But only astrologers can read them, so I designed the BirthPrint so you can read it yourself. Planetary frequencies have specific qualities with infinite possibilities, so while an astrologer knows nothing about you or your circumstances and has to speculate, you know just what's possible.

A birth chart & BirthPrint

And consulting an experienced astrologer is always enlightening, but so much more so if you speak the same language.

Astrology does not take months or years to learn, as many believe. It's a simple, logical system, like phonetics, mathematics & music. And like mathematics, you can learn the basics and do just fine, or keep on going, straight into the woo-woo realms.

Planetary frequencies are the mechanics of all life experience and the alphabet of energy. And a BirthPrint displays the unique frequencies of every soul like an open book.

And the aspects from your inner planets to others' inner planets form the unique frequencies of all your relationships. . .

... while the aspects from your inner planets to the planets above form the unique frequencies of your journey through time...

Planetary frequencies simply define your psyche, your relationships and your lifelong dance with the music of the spheres.

A brief overview of seven primary planetary patterns, with links to an in-depth overview of each by Cafe Astrology & Seattle Astrology:

Mystic Rectangle: Referred to by Dane Rudhyar as 'practical mysticism'; it symbolizes a purpose-driven life.

Grand Sextile: A rare pattern; also known as the 'Star of David' it contains other patterns within it and is highly creative, constructive and beneficial.

Kite: An energizing, facilitative pattern that plays out according to the planets involved.

T-Square brings a lifetime of intense experiences and accelatered growth and suggests an eventful life. An in-depth overview:

Grand Cross: Brings many challenges for the purpose of the soul's accelerated growth.

Yod: A rare pattern [only 1-2 degree orb] referred to as the 'Finger of Destiny'; it's said to indicate past life experience playing a primary role in the present life.

Grand Trine: A blessing from the heavens.

The 6 minor aspects generally reinforce the 6 major aspects. They can be significant in their own right, in particular the semi-square, which I include it in my BirthPrint calculations. Minor aspects generally have an orb of only 1-2 degrees.

SAGITTARIUS: philosophical ~ optimistic ~ adventuresome [mutable fire]
CAPRICORN: ambitious ~ determined ~ competitive [cardinal earth]
AQUARIUS: inventive ~ rebellious ~ independent [fixed air]
PISCES: imaginative ~ intuitive ~ sensitive [mutable water]

impulsive ~ headstrong ~ independent
[CARDINAL FIRE] The first sign of the zodiac expects to be first in all things. Aries must lead, always. No matter how timid Aries may seem initially, you'll soon learn that they are anything but. And their enthusiasm about life is contagious. Aries is a shot of adrenalin to any social gathering. They project their martian spirit into whatever circumstances they find themselves in.
(opposite sign: LIBRA)

nurturing ~ sensual ~ loyal
[FIXED EARTH] Ruled by the Earth, the Taurus personality is like a warm embrace. Lovers of pleasure and beauty, these bulls always know where you can find a great meal. If you seek comfort and tranquility, look to a Taurus, for their steadfast and placid ways never fail to calm a restless mind and spirit.
(opposite sign: SCORPIO)

communicative ~ mercurial ~ highstrung
[MUTABLE AIR] You can easily spot Geminis in a crowd - they're the ones talking to everyone about anything. Mercury, the winged messenger, is their ruling planet, so it's their purpose to interact, inform, inquire. Symbolized by the twins, you can't pin them down to any one thing, nor would you want to. They bring the light of learning to the human table.
(opposite sign: SAGITTARIUS)

sensitive ~ moody ~ nurturing
[CARDINAL WATER] While Geminis are flitting about the room, Cancer is clinging to the wall. Cancer the crab would rather just stay home, thank you. Nothing is so desirable to Moon-ruled Cancer than home and family. They live to nurture, with powerful emotions as changeable as the phases of the moon. And when they shine they can light up a dark world.
(opposite sign: CAPRICORN)

LEO: strong-willed ~ creative ~ affectionate
[FIXED FIRE] Ruled by the Sun, Leos naturally assume the world revolves around them. Leos bring sunshine to whatever space they occupy. And they can't help it if they know how great they are. Whether roaring or purring these lions make their presence known, to the envy, fear or delight of the others in the jungle.
(opposite sign: AQUARIUS)

analytical ~ practical ~ hard-working
[MUTABLE EARTH] A quiet sensuality and gentleness mark the Virgo personality, but beneath that serene exterior is a mind like a steel trap. Nothing goes unnoticed in their Spock-logical brains. They listen and nurture and tend to the needed things. As far as the wheatbearers are concerned, heaven is in the details.
(opposite sign: PISCES)

artistic ~ idealistic ~ charming
[CARDINAL AIR] Matching Virgo in their gentle ways, Libra needs peace and tranquility or they can easily lose their equilibrium. Ruled by Venus and the Scales, Libra seeks balance in all things, and often finds it difficult to decide one way or the other, because they so clearly see both sides.
(opposite sign: ARIES)

intense ~ private ~ passionate
[FIXED WATER] Blessed (or cursed) with a piercing intensity, Pluto ruled Scorpio simply must unearth everything that's hidden. Nothing is as it seems and Scorpio will prove it! It's said the Scorpian is the most sexually focused of the zodiac, because sexuality offers endless depths to those who seek it, and a bounty of treasure and transformation for the effort.
(opposite sign: TAURUS)

philosophical ~ optimistic ~ adventuresome
[MUTABLE FIRE] The adventurers of the zodiac, Jupiter ruled Sagittarius is compelled to learn, explore and expand. Their fiery spirit ignites their surroundings. Honest to a fault, their bluntness can get them into trouble, but they only mean well in their many observations. The archers of the zodiac, their arrows pierce to the heart of things, to expose and enlighten.
(opposite sign: GEMINI)

ambitious ~ determined ~ competitive
[CARDINAL EARTH] Look for the hardest worker in the room and it's likely to be Capricorn the goat. Serious and determined, their purpose in life is to accomplish their goals. Saturn ruled, it's said over time they become younger in spirit, as their determination to reach the mountain top gives way to a willingness to stop and smell the flowers.
(opposite sign: CANCER)

inventive ~ rebellious ~ independent
[FIXED AIR] Growth and change is the driving purpose of the bearers of the water of knowledge. Uranian spirits, they can't be held back or tied down. Their will is matched by the Lion and equally determined. Humanitarian to the core, they can't help but see the Big Picture and are driven to contribute to its expansion.
(opposite sign: LEO)

imaginative ~ intuitive ~ sensitive
[MUTABLE WATER] Neptunian dreamers, these fish swim in the waters of inspiration and lead us all by their example. Water ruled, they absorb their surroundings and their empathy is often the source of great pain. They make the best actors because they naturally put themseves in others' places, and the best poets because they're so close to the source of all our dreams.
(opposite sign: VIRGO)

The classic book that ignited the New Age and my lifelong passion is Linda Goodman's Sun Signs

The ascendant is the sign rising on the horizon at the time of birth, also known as the rising sign. Your ascendant is your persona, your public face, which may compliment, amplify, subdue or even mask your planetary frequencies.

Your ascendant also determines which houses your planets occupy on the 12 house wheel of life. Each of the 12 houses reflects specific life issues, and the houses your planets occupy are a major focus in your life.

But... the ascendant and planet/house placements require an exact birth time to calculate, which many people don't know; and just a few minutes off can mean dramatically wrong data. The good news is, a birth time is not required to calculate the Planets, Aspects & Signs, as all but the Sun & Moon move less than one degree a day; the Sun moves just one degree and though the Moon moves about 12 degrees daily, when an exact or approximate birth time is unknown, noontime is used and the Moon is never more than 6 degrees off its true position, & usually less. It's not ideal, but it's workable.

A natal BirthPrint requires an exact birth time and displays the Ascendant, planet/house placements and the Planets, Aspects & Signs.

A solar BirthPrint may use an exact, approximate or noon birth time and displays only the Planets, Aspects & Signs. The Sun sign is always in the first house, though the houses are a silent backdrop.

A Natal BirthPrint & Solar BirthPrint...

Though a natal BirthPrint is ideal, a solar BirthPrint enables you to explore far more deeply than you ever thought possible.

Taurus lacks its own planetary ruler and Earth is the only planet that rules no sign; could Earth be Taurus' natural ruler? They seem like a perfect fit; Taurus is presently co-ruled by Venus [with Libra] and in ancient times Earth & Venus were considered twin planets and shared the same glyph, Earth's in reverse. Why was it changed?

And like Earth, Taurus is grounded, nurturing & sensuous, while its dark side is over-indulgence in Earth's bounty. The bull is a revered symbol in many cultures and like Mother Earth, the majestic bovine nourishes and provides for our basic needs [like ice cream & buttered popcorn].

Terra and Tara are reportedly ancient names for Earth, presently the only planet not named after a mythological god; and many believe myth is symbolic of astrology, developed to practice a forbidden science in a long-forgotten past. The Pleiades in the Taurus constellation is referenced throughout the ancient world, and some today believe we're being guided and protected by highly evolved humans from the Pleiades. Listening to these mind-blowing accounts has to make you wonder.

Are religion & myth coded languages for cosmology, during a dangerously repressive time? Did religion devolve into a means to control humanity with fear? This passage conforms to the former... "Canst thou bind the sweet influences of Pleiades, or loose the bands of Orion?" ~ Old Testament.

In the true light of the Aquarian Age, will Earth once again be known as the natural ruler of Taurus?

Our BirthPrint is not who we are but how we operate in this lifetime, and those born on the same day & year share the same frequencies, though how they're used is determined by the free will of the eternal spirit shaped through many lifetimes and the childhood programming that shapes this lifetime.

Some astrotwins seem very similar & others dramatically different. Two similar astrotwins are Angelina Jolie & Russell Brand, born June 4, 1975. Everyone born on that date is driven by intense planetary frequencies, though Jolie & Brand followed a similar transformative path through desire, excess & entertainment to spiritual & social consciousness.

To briefly analyze their shared BirthPrint [above], the main focus of their potent frequencies is the dynamic conjunction of Moon, Mars & Jupiter, all in fiery Aries & opposite powerful, transformative Pluto. Emotionally [moon] and assertively [mars] driven to seek higher truth [jupiter] & transformation [pluto]. And a harmonious trine from Neptune [inspiration] to their fiery Aries cluster ignites the flame of spirit. Neptune is also opposite the Gemini Sun and in its highest expression it's the desire to seek enlightenment and communicate the experiences & insights. And Russell Brand is doing that. He's devestatingly funny and he's become an inspiration to those who seek to grow in truth & wisdom. Amazing, really.
